2024 Ford Mustang
The 2024 Ford Mustang isn’t just iconic…it’s highly anticipated. Which means its arrival is causing a lot of buzz, and a lot of industry speculation. Let’s break down what we know and what we’ve heard about the upcoming version of an American classic:
First, from Ford Motor Company: Right from the horse’s mouth- pun intended- we have confirmation that the 2024 Ford Mustang will be available Summer 2023, continuing with both hardtop coupe and soft top convertible options. In fact, Ford’s being downright verbose about the 2024 Mustang, which is a great sign about how excited they are about this current iteration. Press materials tell us the new Mustang `features many expressive design configurations, immersive tech and your choice of soul-stirring EcoBoost® or 5.0L V8 engines- there’s a Mustang model ready to set you free on every drive.’
About those configurations. First, Ford says the 2024 Mustang can be customized with hundreds of design configurations. Your Mustang = your style. The redesign includes four different interior themes with detail and stitching that gives an interior tailored appearance, a curved configured dual display on a generous screen, with digital cluster and IOD message cluster, multiple wheel rim options, a range of Brembo™ brake caliper colors, the list goes on.
You get the power of turbo-charged.
One of the most exciting models coming out for the 2024 lineup is the Mustang Dark Horse™, which is packed with the highest horsepower engine ever found in the Mustang lineup: a 5.0L Coyote™ V8 powerhouse. Paired with that massive engine is an available first-in-its-class Drift Brake, to amp adrenaline and performance. Ford refers to the Mustang Dark Horse™ as street legal, track ready.
`Live life unbridled’ is the phrase Ford’s using, and in addition street performance, they’re encouraging you to check out the heated, flat-bottom steering wheel for precise, race car-inspired control, customizable dual-display instrument panel with digital cluster, SYNC® 4 and other cool tech that’s icing on this high-adrenaline cake.
Car and Driver says the 2024 Mustang brings `reworked-but-familiar styling, revised chassis hardware, an all-new interior, and two improved powertrains,’ and says this `new pony is saddled-up for the future with a bevy of upgrades.’ Car and Driver points out that the 2024 Mustang has upped its power, offering an upgraded 315-hp 2.3-liter four-cylinder EcoBoost engine that has more horsepower than the previous Mustang, and comes with 350 pound-feet of torque.
Car and Driver also seems impressed with the interior offerings of the 2024 Mustang, saying ‘its standard 12.4-inch instrument cluster is a massive leap ahead from the previous car’s,’ and adding, `A major area of improvement for the new Mustang is its interior gadgetry.’
Car and Driver also points out that ‘Mustang is also available with more driver-assistance technology than any rival pony car, so you can go faster and feel safer.’
