When we say “Ford truck,” what do you think of?
If you said the Ford F-150, we get it. Most people would answer the same. But we’re here to challenge that thinking. Yes, the Ford F-150 is iconic, but Ford makes some other brilliant trucks, and the Ranger is the strongest argument we’ve seen yet to think outside the F-150. Especially for people who’re looking for the performance of the F-150 but in a mid-size truck body.
The 2024 Ford Ranger is finally available at D’Orazio Ford, and we’re excited to share it with you. Below, we’ll answer all your questions about the Ranger and tell you all that’s got us excited about Ford’s super-talented new pickup truck.
If you’d like to take it for a ride, swing by D’Orazio Ford today for a test drive.
And if you’re looking for a compact pickup truck instead of a mid-size one, you might be interested in a 2024 Ford Maverick for sale in Wilmington and surrounding areas.
The Ford Ranger is a mid-size pickup truck comparable to a Toyota Tacoma, a Nissan Frontier, or a Chevy Colorado.
The Ranger has seen several changes since its original launch in 1982. That’s understandable since the market has evolved so much. But what’s exciting about the 2024 Ranger is that it represents a new era in the truck’s journey. It’s been completely redesigned to fit Ford’s existing truck portfolio better. The front grille styling will look similar to the F-150 now, along with an overhaul of the interior cabin space. The Raptor is a new trim that is designed to extract the best of the Ranger label performance, which we’ll go over below.
The base models of the Ranger come with a turbocharged 2.3L four-cylinder engine—just like the previous models. These trims will offer you 270 hp, which is great for a mid-size pickup truck.
BUT the new model now also offers a twin-turbocharged 2.7L V6 engine that’ll churn out a mammoth 315 hp and 400 lb. ft. of torque. This engine is available on select trims.
What you’ll get across all trims, however, is a maximum towing capacity of 7,500 lbs.
If you were keen on even more power than this, you might be interested in a new Ford F-150 for sale in Wilmington and surrounding areas.
Trailering is a whole new world of fun with the 2024 Ford Ranger. Two features we’re especially interested in are:
This one’s a super-simple feature that is still a game changer. It basically helps slow your trailer down smoothly by responding in real-time to the Ranger braking. So, if you brake, the trailer brakes too.
A category exclusive, this feature helps you back up easily with your trailer still attached—something multiple truck brands have struggled with for ages.
There are plenty of reasons to love the new 2023 Ford Ranger. First of all, the Ranger is rugged, built Ford tough. With a high-strength steel frame, frame-mounted steel bumpers, and available Tremor® Off-Road Package, this is one durable truck.
Rangers are reliable. With a class-exclusive advanced turbocharged gas engine, it’ll take you on any adventure you choose, no matter where you wanna go- from city streets to rugged terrain.
And the new Ford Ranger is reasonably priced, starting at just $26,400. At D’Orazio Ford in Wilmington, we’re now taking pre-orders for the new Ranger– get started on yours today!
The 2023 Ranger is Ford’s midsize truck that slots in nicely between the smaller Maverick and larger F-150. And it’s had a major overhaul for 2023, the first since it was re-introduced here in 2019, and in our opinion, it’s clearly a leap in the right direction for the brand.
The new model has beefed up its style, and its wider, longer frame allows for a bigger truck bed. Ford has incorporated a higher-tech interior in this Ranger, so you get the ride you want from a truck, but the tech you now expect from a new vehicle. While the trucks haven’t rolled out yet and we don’t have all the details, we anticipate there will eventually be Ranger hybrid and EV models that’ll shake up the competition.
Climb up into the cab and feast your eyes on all the toys: The 2023 Ranger comes with Standard Co-Pilot 360™ driver assist features like Adaptive Cruise Control, the Ford Lane-Keeping and the FordPass® App that keeps you connected to your truck from just about anywhere, and can transform your Ranger into a Wi-Fi hotspot for up to 10 devices.
If you’re planning to hitch and haul, we think you’re going to love the BLIS- Ranger’s Blind Spot Information System. You get cross traffic alerts and trailer coverage signals when another vehicle is detected in your blind spot- and that’s even if you’re hauling a trailer!
Inside the cab, the expanded windshield gives you and your passengers a commanding view of the road, right over the top of Ranger’s twin-dome hood. That covers an impressive 2.3L EcoBoost engine that’s engineered for power and fuel economy. It delivers 270 horsepower and 310 pounds of torque. With the available Trailer Tow Package on the Class IV hitch, that gives you a whopping 7,500 pounds towing capacity.
Need even more space? You can up-size the Ranger’s SuperCab, with its extended 6-foot bed for more cargo, or the 4-door SuperCrew that comfortably seats five passengers.
