Looking forward to seeing what Ford has in store for the Ford Maverick pickup for 2024? Well first of all, you can expect MORE…as in more Ford Mavericks, period. The demand for the Maverick has been so great that for the 2024 model, production will increase by 80,000 models according to AutoBlog.
Ford is America’s number one selling truck brand, so it’s no surprise the Maverick was popular, but demand for it seems to have surprised even Ford Motor Co., which is hard at work to ramp up production for their most popular models. One reason for Maverick’s success may be that as a small high-performance pickup, it’s a rarity- so tens of thousands of people were literally lining up to order the 2023 model. What can we expect for 2024?
Ford’s not saying much yet, so we’ve turned to industry insiders for some updates and speculation on the newest model of the popular Ford Maverick, which is expected to go on sale in Summer of 2023.
MotorBiscuit.com predicts that the timeline will be similar to that of the 2023 Mavericks- orders for the 2024 model will start in August or September, and the new models will start being produced in the fall. They also predict that there will be more Maverick models available to answer demand for this small truck class favorite. Since the Maverick just came out in 2022, MotorBiscuit says it’s probably too early for the truck to get a full refresh, but you can expect some new shades of paint and wheel design, possibly some special editions or new packages.
CarsDirect.com says the Ford Maverick ‘practically jump-started a new class of pickup trucks when it was introduced as an all-new vehicle in 2022.’ Because of its relatively short production history and already stellar popularity, they also believe there won’t be a full refresh for the 2024 Maverick. CarsDirect predicts ‘A refresh for 2024 could see the truck arrive with a redesigned center console, more innovative storage compartments, and new interior materials.’
